Game Recap

The Heath junior varsity baseball team picked up an LCL victory at Newark Catholic on Monday, as the Bulldogs beat the Green Wave by a score of 14-11. Kamden Kreager picked up the pitching victory, going 6 2/3 innings, giving up only one earned run with 7 walks and 6 strikeouts. Logan Byers came in to pick up the last out of the game and earn his third save on the season. Byers also led the Dogs at the plate, as he went 3-4 with 3 RBI and 2 runs scored. Other Bulldog hitters also had big nights, including Justin Hartman (2-4, 3 RBI, 1 R, 1 BB, 1 SB), Layne Brotherton (2-3, 1 RBI, 3 R, 1 BB, 1 HBP), Corbin Roe (2-4, 1 RBI, 2 R, 1 BB), Konnor Goodin (2-4, 1 RBI, 2 R, 1 BB), Kamden Kreager (2-4, 1 RBI). Marshall Flynn also had one hit with 1 RBI, one walk, one HBP, and 2 runs scored, Logan Williams had one hit with one run scored, and Blake Earick had one RBI, two walks, and one run scored. The win brings the JV Bulldogs’ record to 9-6 on the season and 7-2 in the LCL.
