The Heath junior varsity baseball team fell behind early and was never able to make up the difference Tuesday night as they lost to visiting Fairfield Union by a score of 6-1. Marshall Flynn had two hits for the Bulldogs, and Kamden Kreager, Corbin Roe, Austin Merchant, and Chase Fisher all added one hit apiece. Logan Byers scored the only Heath run after being walked. Layne Brotherton was tagged with the loss after throwing all 7 innings and striking out five. The loss brings the JV Bulldogs’ overall record to 9-7 on the season and they remain 7-2 in the LCL.
