Game Recap

The Heath junior varsity baseball team beat the visiting Utica Redskins by a score of 5-1 Saturday afternoon to pick up another LCL victory in their final game of the season. Gabe Nader was the starting pitcher for the Dogs and picked up the win, bringing his JV pitching record to 4-1 on the year. Nader pitched five innings giving up one earned run, allowing four hits, one walk, and striking out seven. Logan Byers pitched two innings in relief giving up no hits and striking out one batter. The Bulldogs were led at the plate by Corbin Roe (2-3, 1 R, 1 SB) and Alex Kovalick (1-3, 2 RBI). Justin Hartman had a double, one run scored, and one stolen base, Gabe Nader had one run scored and one stolen base, and Kamden Kreager had one hit for the Dogs. The win brings the JV Bulldogs overall record to 11-9 on the season and improves their final LCL record to 9-4.
