Meet Recap

The boys high school cross country team got off to a good start to their season by taking first place at the Newark Catholic Invitational at Bryn Du this morning. The team ran in a very tight pack with the top five runners crossing the finish line between 16:59 and 17:39.

Nick Lee was our first runner in today placing 3rd out of 182 runners in a time of 16:59, followed by Chandler Wilhelm 6th (17:05), Xavier Foehl 8th (17:21), Dylan Hammond 10th (17:29), and Wyatt McQueen 13 (17:39). Also kicking off their season and running in the “varsity” race was Jack Lutz placing 21st (17:57), Paul Collier 26th (18:12), Preston Pethtel 34th (18:23) and Aidan Schaffer 53rd (18:53).

Running in the reserve race and “medaling” today were Andrew Williamson placing 8th (20:05) and Matt Bowman 11th (20:16). Also running were Josh Harper (21:38), Seth Werner (23:35), Wesley Mitchell-Houdeshell (24:18), Garrett Elam (24:22), Michael Lambert (24:26) and Long Lin (27:19)
