Megan White


Megan White is a 2010 Heath High School graduate maintaining a 3.75 gpa and graduating with honors. Megan excelled academically and athletically. She was class secretary, a member of National Honor Society, Yes Club, Athletic Council, French Club, Stand and Deliver and was named to the Homecoming Court as well as Prom Queen.

Athletically, Megan was a 8 time letter winner, lettering all 4 years in volleyball and basketball. Megan earned all-league honors in volleyball all 4 years culminating with 1 team honors her Jr. and Sr.. years. She was named MSL Player of the Year, All Advocate Player of the Year, Central District Player of the Year and 2″ team All-Ohio her Sr.. year. Megan was a 4 year starter as the Bulldogs setter and holds several of the schools records for setters. The Bulldogs were Central District Champions her Sophomore, Junior and Senior years.

Although Megan was a standout volleyball player, her real passion was basketball. Just like Volleyball, Megan lettered all 4 years in basketball. She was all-league, all-district and team MVP her freshman and sophomore years. The accolades continued her junior year culminating with 1′ team Mid State League, Central district, District 11, All-Metro and 1 team all-Ohio. She was District 11, Central district, Allmetro and All Advocate Player of the Year. Megan averaged 24 points per game her Junior year which was a career high and was team MVP for a third consecutive year. Her Senior year Megan again was awarded with 1 team MSL, Central District, District 11, All-Metro, All-Advocate and All-Ohio. She was the MSL Central District and District 11 Player of the Year. Megan helped lead her team to a league title and a Central district runner-up. She was chosen to play in the District 11 all-star game and the NorthSouth all-star game. Megan was a 4 year Academic letter winner, was chosen as team MVP for a 4 consecutive year and finished her career as Heath High Schools second all-time leading scorer with 1,688 points. Second only to Hall of Fame Member Jennifer Grandstaff who played with Megan’s mother, Rhonda during high school.

After graduation Megan was given a full athletic scholarship to attend and play basketball at the University of Tennessee at Martin. Megan graduated with a 3.85gpa majoring in Health and Human Performance. She graduated Summa Cum Laude and was given the Academic Medal of Honor by the Ohio Valley Conference. Megan was team captain her Sr.. year and her teams at Martin won 2 Ohio Valley Conference regular season titles and 4 Ohio Valley Conference tournament titles. These tournament titles allowed the Skyhawks to participate in 4 consecutive NCAA tournaments against Duke, Tennessee, Notre Darne and North Carolina.

Megan is currently attending the University of Toledo pursuing a Doctorate degree in Physical Therapy.
